Baby Money

MTV VMAs 2011. Last night, MTV hosted their annual Video Music Awards. Some key moments from the show are as followed: Nicki Minaj miraculously wont the Best Hip-Hop Video Award. Not to dog Nicki because I like her a lot, but there were some videos in that category, that I’ll cease to mention, which deserved that title more.
Then we had Tyler the Creator’s prayers answered as he won the award for Best New Artist. He then took the stage with the whole Golf Wang clique and started doing what he does best – cussing up a storm. Oh and he also admitted over Twitter that although he hates Bruno Mars, Bruno’s performance that was in honour of Amy Winehouse was bad ass.

Lastly we had the surprise performance from Jay-Z and Kanye West who did “Otis.” It wasn’t anything too lavish, from the two luxury rappers, although we did happen to notice that a fan managed to get on stage and make his way toward the rap duo, before security ran in and escorted his ass out.
Oh and by the way, Beyonce is pregnant...with Hovito’s baby. Bey had a performance of her own and even showcased her pregnant belly after her song while Kanye West and Jay-Z celebrated in the audience like school-girls.

Jay-Z vs. Weezy F. You may or may not have heard by now but there is a potential feud going on between Hova and Tunechi. Both rappers have taken a “shot” at each other on a pair of tracks and although the beef is not set in stone, the verses speak for themselves. On “H.A.M.” Jay says, “I'm like really half a billi nigga / Really you got baby money / Keep it real with niggas, niggas ain't got my lady money.” To break the subliminal wall for you all, (if he is taking a shot at Wayne) Jay is saying that he makes more money than Wayne and so does Beyonce.
Tha Carter IV comes out in stores on August 29th and Wayne’s got a track on there called “It’s Good,” featuring Drake and Jadakiss on it. On the track Weezy responds to Hov’s stabs by saying, “Talkin ’bout baby money? I got your baby money / Kidnap your bitch, get that ‘how much you love your lady’ money?”…and well, I need not break that one down for you. Wayne commented on the exchange of disses with an “it is what it is” kind of attitude. Both Drake and Jadakiss have admitted that they were unaware that Wayne’s verse was a diss at the time and have chosen to back out of the issue.
I can't help but wonder if Jay's initial remarks stem from Birdman's comments of Wayne making making more money than Jay does.
Immortal Documentary. Have you heard about The (R)Evolution of Immortal Technique, the documentary of the dark and twisted emcee? Well, if you haven’t, a trailer has been released for it. The doc focuses on how Immortal Technique has changed since his release from prison.

2Pac’s ashes were smoked. There has been speculation since his death in 1996, that 2Pac’s crew known as The Outlawz, actually smoked his ashes. It has been confirmed by three of the members of the west coast group that they did in fact make a special Pac blend of herb. Apparently, the Outlawz, along with some of Pac’s family and friends all gathered together for a beach memorial.Outlaw, E.D.I Mean says that it was his idea to mix in a little Pac that evening, “I came up with that shit,” E.D.I. said. “If you listen to ‘Black Jesus,’ he said, ‘Last wishes, n***as smoke my ashes.’ That was a request that he had. Now, how serious he was about it? We took it serious.”
